1. Run the setup from [AVeRAnTeD]MaxPayne[Full-Rip].exe
and wait for 10 min.
2. Play from MaxPayne.exe OR from desktop
Max Payne fix EDIT: I just remembered. I bought this game from our local thrift shop for $1- a couple of months ago, but have only played it for a few minutes to test. I don’t recall having to copy the files from disk for this particular game, but the game is is patched to 1.05. Running using the 1.05 version noCD fix. Official patch. Okay, the original Max Payne has suffered from bad or missing sounds long enough. Even the download from Steam’s Max Payne 1 doesn’t have Max’s voice and has some sounds corrupted. Here’s the instructions on how to fix it including a zip file with the neccesary files to correctly patch your installation. Click on the downlink below to get the files. Word of warning, they are 529MB so depending.
